Splatoon 2 for Nintendo Switch will offer the possibility of a spectator mode for multiplayer battles, as revealed by Nintendo through the official account of the title on Twitter.
Available in private match, this one will allow you to have an overview of what is going on in the field. While being a spectator, you can freely enjoy a view from above in the private sessions. This allows two players to participate as a cameraman.
Spectators can thus switch, between the aerial view of the map and the third person view of each character. This will make it possible to share video sequences from the point of view of the commentator. No doubt some will use this functionality wisely.
But that’s not all, since a LAN Play feature has been announced. This will allow players to connect eight systems using a wired LAN configuration. Players will be able to create local tournaments game and games without the need for an internet connection.
Nintendo also announces that this feature can be combined with spectator mode. This means that you can use this one to connect two additional Switch to integrate commentators who will be able to comment on your game parts in LAN.
With these two features, Nintendo confirms once again the eSport appeal that Splatoon 2 offers. The game will be released in the spring of 2017 on Switch.
