Sony Is Working To Fix PS4 Crashes Caused By Malicious Message
Some players reported a security problem on PS4 over the weekend. Everything started when some users of PS4 began to receive a message that caused the system to crash.
A short time later, it was verified that the problem was real and that it affected players from different parts of the world. We now know that Sony is working on a solution to fix the problem. According to a report of VG24/7, the company is aware of the situation, so it is preparing an update for the system.
“We are aware of the situation and are planning a system software update to resolve this problem,” said a Sony representative. The update is expected to be released as soon as possible; however, there is no estimated date for it. Meanwhile, players can avoid any problem by putting the message option in private, so they can only receive content from people who are on their friend’s list.
In case of having any suspicious message, the ideal thing is to eliminate it by means of the application of PlayStation messages available for iOS and Android devices. Finally, it was also recommended to the players not to accept as friends any person, except in this case of vulnerability.
At the moment there is no more information, but we will keep you informed about any report released by Sony about the update.
