Sony Sends Out Survey on PSN Name Changes

For years users have been clamoring for the possibility to change their ID on the PSN, Sony has repeatedly made it clear that it thought about this option and according to some rumors the feature could be inserted in one of the next firmware update of PlayStation 4, although at the moment it is only uncontrolled speculation.
There is no certainty about it but Sony Interactive Entertainment does not seem to want to take the matter lightly, so much so that it has now sent an email to all members of the PSN to assess the situation and collect feedback on the matter.
In the text, Sony clearly specifies the following: “PlayStation have been exploring the possibility of adding a feature to PSN that lets users change their ID. Before any of this though, they want to understand if gamers are interested in this feature or not.”
“Please remember the topic and contents of this survey for your eyes only and not to be shared with anyone else. We can’t be sure whether this feature will be added or not, but we can be sure your opinions on the matter will be heard,” can be read on the image uploaded at the top of this news.
As indicated in the questionnaire, the introduction of this novelty would allow you to change your name several times without any additional cost, but you could do it only once every six months. Also, should a user wish to change and return to one of their previous IDs, they should contact customer support.
For the moment Sony has not released official communications about it. We will not fail to update you if there are any official updates on it.
