The PlayStation Awards 2017 has just ended, and Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has just announced the best-selling PlayStation games on the Japanese market.

Again this year, Sony Interactive Entertainment hosted a PlayStation Awards 2017 ceremony, which was an opportunity to award prizes to publishers based on commercial performance in Japan and the rest of Asia for the PS4 productions.

Accounting more specifically for sales made between October 2016 and September 2017, the 2017 PlayStation Awards awarded 11 Gold Prize, an award for titles whose volume exceeded 500,000 copies distributed in Asia.

In this group, Western productions are more than well represented with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Rainbow Six Siege, FIFA 17, FIFA 18, Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Horizon: Zero Dawn. Yakuza 6, Resident Evil 7 and NieR: Automata are also included in this category.

Then comes the Platinum Prize, which rewards games with more than a million copies in Asia. And while the previous edition was marked by a sad lack of the winner, three games were able to receive this rare distinction. They are called Final Fantasy XV, Dragon Quest XI but also GTA V which has exceeded the million on the PS4 only, it had already won the same on PS3. And this is not even the biggest surprise since a Double Platinum Prize was then awarded to Minecraft, which claims more than 2 million copies sold in Asia but cumulating this time the editions of PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

In other categories, Sony has also awarded a prize to the three best-selling games on the PlayStation Network. These are Phantasy Star Online 2, Rainbow Six Siege and FIFA 17. Resident Evil 7, Farpoint and Summer Lesson: Allison Snow have also won a PlayStation VR Award, while Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded, Freestyle 3on3 and Undertale have left with the prize reserved for independent games.

Finally, users voted for the Users Choice Prize that includes titles such as Battlefield 1, Final Fantasy XV, Resident Evil 7, Nioh, NieR: Automata, Horizon Zero Dawn, Persona 5 and Ys VIII.
