The year of 2016 is ending, and from what we can see, it was an excellent year for gaming. However, the goals are to be overcome, and Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio knows that very well, as they have announced that they are preparing some incredible surprises for 2017.

Through an interview with 4Gamer, the producer of Bloodborne, Teruyuki Toriyama, said he can not provide details but announced that the studio is working on “ambitious titles” and new concepts at the same time. Obviously, the first thing we think of a sequel to Bloodborne, although the developer asked fans to watch out for 2017.

Meanwhile, Masaaki Yamagiwa, who was also producer of Bloodborne, commented that he has been working on a title that he hopes to release in 2017, but, in the same way, declined to give further details.

Other worker of SIE Japan Studio spoke about the future and was the director of Gravity Rush, Keiichiro Toyama, who mentioned that after finishing the production of Gravity Rush 2, he will start a new project that will take shape in 2017.

Finally, the President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, said he sees 2016 as the year where the company’s hardware was positioned with PlayStation VR and PlayStation 4 Pro. But future plans are more interesting, as he mentioned that he wants 2017 to be an “incredible year for software”, with the aim of taking advantage of all the hardware in the market.
