The rumors about the new generation of Sony consoles do not cease, the ‘hype’ for the arrival of PlayStation 5 is growing and, although details have been given about its characteristics, the company has not yet mentioned the specific date on which they will announce its arrival.

However, September could be the month chosen by the Japanese firm to announce the PlayStation 5, since a Niko Partners analyst has revealed that Sony has something else to announce besides the launch of The Last of Us 2, which will take place this September 24th coinciding with the Outbreak Day.

In a post on ResetEra, Daniel Ahmad revealed that the Japanese company has another event underway this month, which clearly seems to be something related to the new platform. Although there is no clue about it, the rumors point to the announcement of the PlayStation 5, which will hit the market in 2020.

What we do already know about the new console of Sony is that it will be a system based on AMD architecture with Ray Tracing features. This was confirmed by Mark Cerny, an architect of Sony, in an interview in which he also explained that the use of an SSD hard drive will almost completely eliminate loading times.

In fact, it has been a while since the company showed a video in which we could compare the loading times between the current PlayStation 4 and the expected next-gen console with the Spider-Man video game as an example. Check the video below.
