The Sumo Digital studio, responsible for Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, is developing a new karting game and 2 important shooters, according to a leaked internal presentation.
The alleged presentation was placed on SlideShare but was later deleted. By that time, the fans had already obtained the images to place it in ResetEra. It is not clear what the next karting game would be, although it could be a sequel to Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing. The slides speak of an “unannounced karting game” that is part of a known IP.
That’s not all, as the slides also point out that Sumo Digital is working on 2 FPS titles. According to the images, the studio would be coordinating a project with an “international partner” to launch a “PC to consoles” shooter. For the second game, the presentation mentions an “unannounced senior partner” for an “original FPS” that will take the foundations of an “established global IP”.
Entering the field of speculation, the options are many. Dead Island 2 is under development by the studio, so one of the FPS could refer to this title. In 2016, the company assumed control of Yager Development.
On the other hand, there are strong rumors suggesting that Microsoft is working on a new Perfect Dark, so people are speculating that Sumo Digital will be in charge of bringing the franchise back.
For the moment, it is best to take all this information as a simple rumor, and we hope that Sumo Digital will give a statement in the coming days. Would you like to see a new Sonic racing game? Are you excited about the return of Perfect Dark? Let us know about your opinion in the comments below.
