CI Games announced today that it is working on Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts, the new installment of the popular tactical shooting series that will come with some interesting changes. As in previous titles, you will put yourself in the role of a sniper, so it was time to prepare your marksmanship.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts will take you to locations full of dangers where you must also overcome extreme weather conditions. The game is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It will debut sometime next year.
This action experience will offer you a new way to play: the contract system. There will be a campaign for one player, where you will have the mission to finish with specific objectives for various rewards.
In addition to having main missions, there will be secondary objectives to obtain extra bonuses. On the other hand, there will be an option to repeat the missions and it will also include a multiplayer component.
“It is exciting to see the team really motivated and working hard on our next sniping game. They don’t have to start from scratch this time and can now – on top of developing new content – spend way more time on improving things they already have,” noted Marek Tymiński, executive director of CI Games.
The company promised not to make the same mistakes that were made with Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, an open-world title that left fans of the franchise dissatisfied. So, they will focus on the gameplay of Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts and leave the open world aside.
“It is going to be a more tactical, more condensed experience and the game will offer plenty of replayability, both on the single-player campaign and on the multiplayer modes,” said Tymiński.
To the above, we must add that the game will have an optimized engine, which implies fewer load times and a more stable frame rate per second. Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts will launch in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
