Yu Suzuki announced with a video posted on the Kickstarter page of the game of Shenmue 3 that does not come out this year, the game is in fact officially been delayed to the second half of 2018.

Bad news for the fans of Ryo Hazuki. If at the end of last month we confirmed that Shenmue III will not debut in E3 2017, now we come to announce that the title has suffered a new delay in its launch. This was announced by Yu Suzuki himself, head of the title, through a video posted in the latest update of the game on their Kickstarter page.

According to Yu Suzuki himself, in Ys Net they have been forced to delay Shenmue 3 again and take its launch until the second half of 2018. Of course, the company has not explained in depth the reasons for this new delay of Shenmue III, but he has said that the game is getting bigger and bigger and is surpassing the expectations that they had for it in the beginning, reason why they need more time for its development.

Initially expected by the end of 2017, Shenmue 3 will fail to comply with the previously announced launch window, the team is working to harness the potential of new technologies with the aim of creating an even bigger and more ambitious game than the initial plans.

Yu Suzuki thanked everyone for the support and reiterated that Shenmue 3 will not be present at E3 2017 in Los Angeles. More details about the project should still arrive later in the year.
