Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is available from today on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Playstation Vita and Nintendo Wii U. On this occasion an official launch trailer was published that includes some gameplay sequences of the title.

As reported a few days ago, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita and Wii U. We thus see below the launch trailer, in particular with regard to the Wii version U and PlayStation Vita.

Successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2013 (the project has raised over $700,000, exceeding the minimum target of $400,000) and came to light after a troubled development, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero looks like a 2D platformer in cartoonish style, characterized by metroidvania elements that encourage exploration.

For those who do not know the Shantae series, they are colorful platformers, that previously displayed graphics in pixel art. But for this new series, WayForward wanted to set the bar higher by offering a cartoon rendering of the most beautiful effect, as was the case for the excellent Duck Tales Remastered. So Shantae: Half Genie Hero is a bit in the shade and it is hoped that this will not stop the game from achieving the success it deserves.

Recall that the game is already available as of December 20 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Playstation Vita and Nintendo Wii U: in the trailer suggested below you look at some of the gameplay length.
