There are still several weeks ahead for the premiere of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. You do not have to worry about a possible delay, because Eidos Montreal has just confirmed that the title has reached its Gold stage.

This implies that its development is complete and that the company will now take care, together with Square Enix, of everything related to the distribution of the title worldwide. Eidos celebrated this achievement with a special publication on Twitter.

The studio published a photo where we see part of the development team. “Shadow of the Tomb Raider has gone gold! Lara’s defining moment is out of Eidos Montreal’s hard-working hands & on its way to manufacturing,” the studio wrote.

The title was announced in May of this year and its official presentation was almost done a month later. Eidos also invited players to preorder the title to have 2 days of early access to this new adventure of Lara Croft.

The title will be available in different editions, including a standard, the Digital Deluxe Edition, and the Croft Edition. Each one will have different prices and contents of the launch day, as well as the Season Pass.

Yesterday a new gameplay of the title was released, which shows part of the Paititi region and some of the exploration mechanics, as well as the exchange of objects. According to one report, the development of the game cost about $75 million.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will debut on September 14 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
