Shining Resonance Refrain could just be a tasty appetizer that marks the return of the series, at least judging by the words of the producer Makoto Suzuki, interviewed in the latest issue of Famitsu.
Makoto Suzuki, the producer of Shining Resonance Refrain, has suggested that in the Sega Fes 2018 event, which will be held on April 14 and 15, there could be news on a new Shining title.
In the Weekly Famitsu magazine, Suzuki has said that “We are doing our best to show various things we are working on with the [Shining] series at Sega Fes and such in April. After this please look forward to the enjoyable environments we have in the works between traditional games like this one [Shining Resonance Refrain], as well as titles with various other directions.”
Suzuki speaks, in fact, both to follow a traditional line but also to explore other directions. It seems to suggest, in fact, that there could be more than one project underway.
Shining Resonance Refrain will be released in Japan for PlayStation 4 this March 29 and will later arrive in Europe (also on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One). With the game already launched in Japan for the date of Sega Fes 2018, it is to be assumed that the company’s announcements are relative to new projects.
