Sea of Thieves Death Cost (Penalty) Update Will Be Available Soon
Sea of Thieves is now available on Xbox One and Windows 10 and that means that many players in different parts of the world have started their pirate adventure. Being a game focused on the service, the updates that will arrive and its content are vital to keep the balance in the game and it will always be positive for the companies to warn about what is coming. That is why Rare seeks to keep in touch with users and announced the arrival of a penalty system for the type of death.
As part of the recent update report of Sea of Thieves, Rare reported that one of the implementations that will arrive in the pirate game is a penalty system for the type of death. Currently, when the character of a player dies, its spirit has to make a tour of the Ferry of the Damned and once it ends can return to action.
According to the development team, the new implementation in this area will put us in front of the Captain of the Ferry of the Damned, who will define a penalty in gold for the type of death the character has had, which will be called Death Cost.
It is important to mention that as soon as the news was known, some fans criticized the system, but soon Rare updated the publication and assured that the Death Cost will not apply in the deaths of the characters in PvP confrontation because they are aware that this would have a negative impact. In that sense, the studios’ information alludes to the possibility that the penalty is imposed on deaths caused by carelessness, trying to make players focus more on playing well.
