If you are concerned that Rise of the Tomb Raider for PlayStation 4 was not shown at E3 2016, you should not be alarmed, because Crystal Dynamics confirmed that the development of the game still stands and that its departure is scheduled at the end of 2016 this year.
Despite the appearances, the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider is still scheduled for release this year as confirmed by Crystal Dynamics. The studio is also well to reassure the players since the game made no appearance at E3 2016 last month.
In the official forums of Square Enix, a user asked if the version for PlayStation 4 had been canceled, but the studio said, “as stated previously, Rise of the Tomb Raider’s PlayStation 4 release is set for Holiday 2016.”
Crystal Dynamics has so far given no details on the PlayStation version of the game. It is not known if the graphics will be revised upwards, whereas if the game will contain the DLC released for the PC and Xbox versions as well.
In related information, this year’s Tomb Raider is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and as part of E3 2016, Square Enix held special events, where fans of Lara Croft participated and won some awards.
Rise of the Tomb Raider debuted for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November 2015 and in January 2016 it came to PC.
