Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster fails to Start:

This error will occur when you launch the game first time after installation. And if you are getting this issue you have to once verify the local game files through Steam. For that launch Steam go in the game library. Right click on the game and then click on Properties. Now you have to go in the Local File section and click on verify integrity of game cache.

Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster Crash to Desktop or Blank Screen:

This issue occurs when the game starts and when you try to do anything it will crash or give you a blank screen. Verifying the integrity of Game Cache solution is also applicable for this issue. But if that does not help then you have to remove the game configuration file. So that when you launch the game, a new one is created. The configuration file is located in the below path. Delete config.ini and start the game back again.

  • Second try updating to the latest video drivers and recheck.

Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster fails to launch after applying new Graphic Settings:

After making changes in the game resolution and other graphics settings if the game is not working then you have to delete the config.ini file. The solution is provided above. Yet there is no fix for this. There might be an upcoming patch for the same. But deleting the config.ini file will atleast help you to play the game on default settings.

If the game does not start after Capcom logo or gets stuck on that or if there is a long black screen after that, you have to replace a dll file that is the cause of the issue. The file is WMVCore.dll. The best thing you can do is re-install the game. But if you want a fast fix then you can replace this file from the setup.

FPS issue is pretty common in many games. But this is not related to the game itself, it is a hardware limitation in case of Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster. Go in Steam Folder and then click on UserData. In that you have to click on the UserID and look for 339340. Click on Remote and copy the entire game folder. Next time when you re-install the game, replace the data back here after playing a few levels.

  1. Game Camera Stutter or any other Stuttering issue – Turn off Vysnc. Reduce game resolution.
  2. E_Invalidarg Error – Exit the game. Right click on the game and then choose Run as Administrator. Or else right click on the game icon and choose properties. Go in compatibility and set 640×480 as Resolution. For old graphic cards only.
  3. White Border issue – To remove the white border delete the config.ini file and the re-launch the game. Or else you have to modify Windows registry for the same. But we don’t recommend that as it can cause issue with the operating system.
