Last Friday Resident Evil Revelations 2 was released in its physical version, which lists the four episodes that have come in recent weeks and a couple of gift contents and finally activate the Assault online mode, no solo and only locally. So we are facing an important week of releases, at least as far as Capcom is concerned.
But if you remember, shortly after the first episode a month ago we noticed that versions of PS4 and Xbox One had a disparate graphics performance . To put it finely, Microsoft console passed over to Sony who had a ‘framerate’ unworthy for a new generation machine.
A patch to fix everything
So when the game is already out entirely, it is the moment chosen by Capcom to publish a ‘patch’ in PS4 coming to improve the graphics performance, equating to the Xbox One and allowing Resident Evil Revelations 2 finally to reach 60 fps constantly.
Now, what the Japanese have done is turn the PS4 game even more stable than the Microsoft machine although they were few, had peaks that reduced the ‘frames’ to 59, 58, 57, 56 or 55.
In the video below you can see the version of PS4 Resident Evil Revelations 2 unpatched, the right side with the update applied and at the right of entire game played on Xbox One, to compare the performance difference between the first and last weeks.
