Surprisingly, Capcom announced in the night the arrival of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Cloud Version on Nintendo Switch. However, the game will not arrive in a boxed or digital format that can be downloaded from the eShop but will be playable on the Cloud Ubitus platform.
From May 24th, 2018, the Japanese players will be able to download the Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Cloud Version client and access the first 15 minutes of the game for free. Once the test has been completed, it will be necessary to pay 2,000 yen (around $20) to purchase the ticket that will give access to 180 days of play without restrictions.
In addition to the basic title, the Cloud Version will also allow access to the DLC add-ons including Banned Footage Volume 1, Banned Footage Volume 2, End of Zoe and Not a Hero DLC, to play an always active Internet connection will be obviously required.
At the moment it is unclear whether Capcom plans to publish Resident Evil 7 Biohazard for Switch in the West, perhaps in a retail or digital version, or if the company wants to launch the Cloud version in Europe and North America. We look forward to further details. In the meanwhile, you can also check the first trailer of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Cloud Version at the bottom of this news.
