After the first announcement dated summer 2015, the Resident Evil 2 Remake seem to have gone missing, the game has not appeared at E3 2017 in Los Angeles and Capcom keeps its mouth sewn over the launch date. However, the producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi has alluded to the project in a recent interview.

It is now many months since Capcom has confirmed the complete makeover of what is perhaps the most popular episode of the entire saga.

In an interview with Collider, Kobayashi made it known that he could not say anything about his future projects, however, he has stated that the remake of Resident Evil 2 will be released “soon”, without providing a more accurate launch window. “The only thing I can tell you is about something that’s already out in the public. Resident Evil 2, a remade version, the game, will be out from Capcom soon,” the producer said.

The last chapter of the Resident Evil 7 saga, was to be enhanced by a free expansion in April. Unfortunately, Not a Hero, which will feature a familiar face in the series, has been postponed.

We must also expect more news for Biohazard, in fact, the director of Resident Evil 7 and Revelations 2 said that they were working on a “certain products”. We just have to wait, therefore, to learn more, even though the game’s launch in 2017 appears highly unlikely.

And what do you think of the remake of the second installment of the most acclaimed series of Capcom? Let us know about your opinion in the comments below.
