Report: Capcom Will Show Resident Evil 2 Remake At E3 2018

Rumors claim that the title will use the same engine as Resident Evil 7.

Resident Evil 2 Remake

It is about E3 2018 and Capcom still has a debt to players: Resident Evil 2 Remake. The community considers that it is a good moment to reveal the game with great fanfare; however, the company has not confirmed anything.

Of course, rumors are the order of the day and some sources say that Resident Evil 2 Remake will appear in the important video game event. As often happens, the information comes from various sources supposedly close to the project.

According to the details, the expected title would use the RE Engine, whose potential you could already see in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. However, it is pointed out that the engine will have new technology, which would implement a better lighting and shading system.

On the other hand, it is noted that the performance of the title would be 30 fps and 1080p in the standard version of PlayStation 4. While on PlayStation 4 Pro the game would run at 60 fps and 4K rescaling.

The source also points out that the project tends towards the photorealistic and that it is the first Resident Evil designed with a 4K resolution in mind. As for its camera system, it is estimated that it will be similar to that of Resident Evil 4.

We recommend that you take all this information as a simple rumor, because Capcom has not given technical details of the game. In addition, the presence of the title in E3 2018 is not confirmed either. So there is nothing to do but wait for the event, which will take place from June 12 to 14 at the Convention Center in Los Angeles, California, United States.

Resident Evil 2 Remake was confirmed in August 2015 and since then we have not had much news about the project. The original title was made 20 years ago in America, so it seems a good time to reveal its new version.
