Report: Red Dead Redemption 2 launch will mark the end of the GTA Online Support
GTA Online currently enjoys a great popularity among the players but according to some speculations, the support for the game may end later this year, with the release of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Many players are afraid that Rockstar Games is focused exclusively on the western title, leaving Grand Theft Auto Online, the game in which many people have invested time and money.
As we know Red Dead Redemption 2 will be published towards the end of the year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to some rumors, though, this could mean the end of the support of Rockstar Games against GTA Online.
According to the leaked information by Yan2295, the studio of Rockstar North would currently be in a phase of reorganization and this could cause delays in the work on the next updates of GTA Online. Rockstar San Diego is currently working on Red Dead Redemption 2 while the rest of company is engaged on Grand Theft Auto VI and on a new project not yet announced.
Yan would not be surprised if support for GTA Online ended in the fall, but at the moment it is only a hypothesis without confirmation.
As Yan2295 is a reliable source and does not talk nonsense, we can consider only certain information from Rockstar itself.
These rumors are to be taken with a pinch of salt, because considering the financial success of GTA Online, it seems unlikely that Take-Two decides to neglect it and lose a good chunk of the proceeds.
