Although the PlayStation conference in E3 2017 generated some displeasure in the fans because the main titles were announced for 2018, the fact is that the time passes quickly and brings us closer to the new offer of games that Sony has for PlayStation 4. One of the most anticipated titles is God of War and although we are anxious for its arrival in 2018, the panorama begins to clarify little by little because, apparently, there is a new tentative date for its premiere.
As you may recall, the promise of PlayStation and Shawn Layden, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America, was that PS4’s exclusive titles scheduled for 2018 would arrive in the first half of the year.
However, it has been mentioned that God of War will arrive in early 2018, however a user of NeoGAF, who already pre-ordered the game, received an email from Amazon where it is notified of the update in terms of the period in which its order could arrive stating that the “estimated time for the arrival of your order will be between July 5 and July 10.”
Obviously we are talking about estimated time, because the exact date is Saturday and ultimately the title will not come out on such a day, in addition, Sony usually launches its exclusives on Tuesday and it is worth mentioning that the games of the God of War series have been released in March, so the question remains whether SIE Santa Monica will break with that tradition.
It should not be forgotten that at the moment there is no official information from Sony regarding the release date of God of War for PS4, but the Amazon update and the email with the notification seem to indicate that the new title of the franchise will arrive in the second quarter of 2018, with the deadline being the last day of June.
We just have to wait for some more information from the publisher itself.
