Redesigned Xbox dashboard available now for everyone

In recent months, Microsoft has talked to us a lot about what it was preparing for players with the new interface for Xbox One. For this reason, we think you will be happy to know that you do not have to wait longer to enjoy its new features since the Xbox One Fall update is now available globally.
Through a publication on Xbox Wire, Mike Ybarra, corporate vice president of engineering for Xbox, revealed that with this update they are looking to satisfy all fans who asked for a deeper level of customization: “We have been working with Xbox Insiders to gather feedback, test and refine new features that we’re releasing worldwide starting today. As gamers, we like to play and watch content the way we want, with the people we want. With this update, our fans asked for more personalization options and we’ve put more control in their hands.”
So, once you install the next update for Xbox One you will have the option to customize the Home menu so you have faster access to the content you like most, whether games, friends, or sections such as Xbox LIVE Gold or Xbox Game Pass. The above will be possible thanks to a new feature called blocks, which will also allow you to accommodate content at your whim.
Another interesting detail is that you can sort your favorite content using up to 40 pins that serve to highlight items in a special block. In this way, you will have easy access to what you use most without saturating the interface of the console. That’s not all since in the Settings menu you will also find themes like Dark Theme, Light Theme, and high contrast mode. In addition, when you install the update you will notice that it presents the new Microsoft Store, which will provide a simpler experience to buy games and applications.
In addition, the Xbox team made the necessary adjustments and improvements so that the Xbox Guide is now faster and you can move more easily. You will notice this in small and subtle changes like the one that will take you to the transmission options every time you open the Guide while transmitting content. In addition, a new section of Tournaments will appear in the Guide, which will be a quick portal to the community of tournaments you have joined.
As it was already mentioned, this update also includes some news for all who like to share video game content from their console. Among the highlights is the option to take captures and make transmissions in 1080p, as well as the option to connect a USB camera to the console to use Skype or stream content on Mixer. This will be accompanied by a new Mixer tab in the interface where you will see previews of the most popular streams on the platform.
Do you want more? Then you’ll be glad to know that the new interface of Xbox One will also prepare your console for November 7, the day when the Xbox One X will make its debut. What we mean is that it will allow you to move your games to an external hard drive so that you just have to connect them to the new console to start playing, and it will let you to preload the 4K assets of some titles before the console launch. Another important detail is that it adds the option to transfer games and applications through a home network.
What did you like the most about the new Xbox update? Are you happy with the possibilities offered by the changes in the interface?
