In the morning hours, the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) has rated the PlayStation 2 version of Red Faction. Recently, the game (along with Red Faction II) had also obtained the PEGI rating, suggesting therefore an imminent arrival on PlayStation 4.
The American authority ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board) has classified the original Red Faction for Sony Playstation 4. The publisher is indicated to be THQ Nordic which, reminds, deals with the management of other IP previously held by THQ such as Destroy All Humans!, Red Faction 2 and Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition.
Both Red Faction that Red Faction II were also included in the European database entity of PEGI but at the moment nothing has been published yet.
The PS2 version of Red Faction was published in 2001 by THQ and it seems that soon the game will arrive on PS4 in the series of PlayStation 2 Classics, with support for Trophies, Remote Play and graphics optimized for Full HD screens.
We are still waiting for an official announcement of THQ Nordic.
Recently the game “Red Dead Revolver” by Rockstar Games was added to the PS2-to-PS4 catalog. The latter is, for example, available for a good 15 euros and allows to revive some video game nostalgia on the PlayStation 4 together with a high scaling to 1080p and features such as trophies, Share Play, Remote Play, activity feeds and second-screen support.
