Red Faction , the scifi shooter developed by Volition, appeared on the site of PEGI for PlayStation 4, the European body dedicated to classify games. This suggests that the classic game of PlayStation 2 and PC is on its way to the current generation console of Sony.
In addition to mentioning it is for PlayStation 4, the registry made on October 18 mentions only two things: that it is the responsibility of THQ Nordic (like a release holder) and it is a game suitable for over 16 years and it is presenting “realistic looking violence.” It is important to note that registration is made only on the site of PEGI and not on the ESRB, American agency for similar purposes.
Interestingly, this news comes days after THQ Nordic reported that the German government no longer believes that Red Faction is bad title for the youth. So, after “numerous discussions, touch and great skill of persuasion”, the dealer can sell it in Teuton territory.
While this information does not confirm the digital relaunch of Red Faction for PlayStation 4, it does point strongly toward that possibility. As you know, several titles for PlayStation 2 on PlayStation 4 – as well as other important releases – have been filtered by ratings boards.
The latest of the collection of classic title of PlayStation 2 on PS4 is Red Dead Revolver, the title of Rockstar San Diego. The acclaimed western-themed game is available in exchange for $14.99 USD from Tuesday 11 October.
