In recent days, a group of modders announced to be working on Red Dead Redemption V, a model designed to reproduce the map of the acclaimed western game of Grand Theft Auto V. The team has also published a screenshot, only to announce the closure of the project due to the express request of Take-Two.
Rockstar Games has indeed blocked the project in the desert, even demanding the removal of the trailer that appeared on YouTube to promote it.
One of the team member has published a note on GTAForums to explain what happened: “I know this is hard pill to swallow, but as you may have noticed we did get contacted , and we sadly have to say we are stopping this project. So thanks guys, we were all so happy to see this, but it isn’t going to happen, sorry.”
The head of the group not directly brings up Rockstar and Take-Two but according to some websites it would be precisely the latter to contact team at .White and ask to immediately stop the project.
The development of Red Dead Redemption V was discontinued and developers have already announced that they will not resume it in the future.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released this year for consoles only, like the previous chapter.
