Red Dead Redemption 2 Guide: Hunting Tips, How To Get Perfect Skins

Thanks to the possibility of obtaining precious resources and rare materials, hunting is one of the most profitable activities of Red Dead Redemption 2. To maximize results, however, it is important to keep some tips in mind to complete an impeccable hunting trip.
First, you will have to unlock the Trapper, a particular type of merchants from which you can buy some useful recipes for crafting. Trappers can be unlocked during Chapter 2 of the adventure, completing a particular mission near the Emerald Ranch. Once you have access to these merchants, make sure you buy two recipes in particular: the improved arrows and the arrows for small animals. The first will allow you to get high-quality materials from most animals, while the latter is essential to get perfect skins from smaller creatures such as rabbits.
At this point, equipped with improved bow and arrows, you can get in search of a prey. To get perfect skins another factor comes into play: the degree of the animal. Studying the creature you will notice an additional level of quality in the lower left part of the screen: if the animal is defined outstanding, there will be a high probability of obtaining a perfect skin. Now you just have to kill the creature cleanly, using as few arrows as possible: try to aim at the vital points of the animal, helping you with the skills of the Dead Eye that allows you to highlight them.
