Red Dead Redemption 2 Guide: How to Increase Health and Stamina

In this mini-guide of Red Dead Redemption 2, we will explain how to increase the maximum value of the health and resistance of Arthur Morgan, the protagonist of the adventure, in order to increase your chances of survival during fights and gun battles.

How to increase health:

The indicator of health is visible in the lower left of the screen, above the mini-map. Inside we can see a heart-shaped icon, with a circular bar around it: the latter represents the current value of Arthur Morgan’s health. Whenever we suffer damage in combat or during the exploratory phases, the circular bar will decrease until it is completely exhausted in case the character is killed. The inner heart represents, in turn, another indicator: the higher its value, the greater will be the speed at which health will regenerate over time.

At the beginning of the game the health indicator can be filled only by a third, but in the course of the adventure, we can increase the total value up to fill it to 100%. To do this we will simply have to fight. Whenever we suffer damage in Red Dead Redemption 2 through combat, in fact, we will strengthen our maximum health by increasing the level of its indicator.

Increasing Stamina:

While walking, you can run by repeatedly pressing the X/A button. In doing so, however, you will consume the stamina indicator (the one next to the health indicator, with the lightning symbol inside). Also in this case, at the beginning of the game, the indicator in question can be filled only by a third, with the possibility of increasing its value during the adventure. To do so you just run and participate in the fights: by doing a sprint and participating in the fistfights, in fact, you can increase the overall strength of Arthur Morgan, until you completely fill the relevant indicator of the stamina.
