Red Dead Redemption 2 Battle Royale, FPS Mode and More Details Leaked
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most anticipated titles for this year. After waiting for a long time, Rockstar finally confirmed that the game will be available in October, however, many data remain secret. Now, a supposed leak revealed details about the game’s missions, the gameplay, the multiplayer modes and the campaign.
The leak comes from Trusted Reviews, a media that claims to have received documents with important information in August 2017. The page states that they preferred to keep these details because there was no way to check them, but the recent Red Dead Redemption 2 promotional materials were enough to verify the data.
According to the notes, the Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer will include 3 modes. First, we have Battle Royale, which could include the best of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with the touch of Rockstar. Then we have Revive and Survive, where 2 teams will try and stay alive, with the possibility of reviving the allies during a certain time. Finally, there is Money Grab, which presents 2 teams struggling to get bags of money from the center of the map to take them to their base as quickly as possible.
The game will also bring several features of Grand Theft Auto Online to the Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer. Players will be able to explore the open world, although the title “will supposedly provide far more depth than Rockstar’s previous online efforts,” as the NPCs will react differently in the day and night. The GTA Online apartments will be presented as tents that can be improved and customized.
The media also suggests that the game will include several stores and the NPCs will offer missions to the players. There will also be events such as treasure hunting and death fighting. To this, we must add that there will be several rewards available when performing certain tasks, such as traveling a certain distance or eliminating enemies. The world will also offer mining, fishing, grazing, and weapons challenge activities.
Apparently, Red Dead Redemption 2 could have a companion app just as happened with Grand Theft Auto V. This application will include social elements and a poker minigame, although it is not clear how the console experience will improve.
There is also information on the campaign mode of Red Dead Redemption 2. Trusted Reviews points out that the documents presented images with several characters. The information was corroborated when Rockstar released official captures, where we can see protagonist Arthur Morgan and Dutch Van Der Linde, leader of the Dutch gang and possible antagonist. The media ensures that they have information on the story, but preferred to keep it secret so as not to ruin the surprises.
The world will include several places, including Armadillo and Ridgewood. The towns will have stores that will offer items and weapons, as well as classic betting games. There will be a Slums Market that will provide equipment at a reduced price. In addition, the NPCs will behave according to day and night.
In the section of transports, the players will be able to use mining cars, carriages, and horses. There will also be trains to travel the world in a fast way, and it will be possible to explore them completely and interact with the crew.
Also, some horse riding challenges will be available to increase the level of the horses, a deep fishing system with a selection of different baits and collection of plants that will serve to develop new materials.
Players will have an option to play any form of Red Dead Redemption 2 in the first person, with animations that will adapt to the style of the camera. Dead Eye, the ability of John Marstron, is back with improvements since it will allow to track treasures and detect the fauna of the environment.
During the campaign missions, there will be specific actions that will have an impact on the result of the same. Also, when players go around the open world they will find random events with different strangers like in GTA V, offering different rewards.
The search mode is also back and will be displayed at the top of the screen. Pedestrian assaults are considered simple crimes, while murders are serious crimes. When certain enemies are injured or take flight, players can go after them to activate dialogues and force them to give relevant information in exchange for forgiving their lives.
For now, that’s all the information leaked so far. We reiterate that these details have not been confirmed by Rockstar, so it will be better to take them as mere rumors. The only official thing so far is that Red Dead Redemption 2 will debut on October 26 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
