Everything is ready for the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2! In less than 24 hours the new Rockstar blockbuster will finally arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after eight years of development. In recent days, the developers have revealed the size of the game and the space required for the installation, today we discover the file size of the day one patch.
With a note posted on the support page of its official website, Rockstar Games announces that the day one patch weighs 3.30 GB on PlayStation 4 (3.02 GB in Japan) and 3.2 GB on Xbox One (2.9 GB in Japan): this update does not include new content but is limited to improving general performance and solving some bugs, its installation is highly recommended before starting to play.
“The Day-One Title Update includes a range of across-the-board improvements and bug fixes for optimal performance. We strongly recommend making sure you have downloaded the Title Update before launching the game, to ensure the best possible gameplay experience,” can be read in the patch notes.
Once the day one patch is installed, the build will go to version 1116.8, you can check it by pausing the game and going to the settings menu, in the bottom left corner you will see the build number, which must match the one shown here over it.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available officially in stores (in physical and digital format) from Friday, October 26 on PS4 and Xbox One.
