Before the official launch of Red Dead Online, the multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2, theories were made about the arrival of a Battle Royale mode to the title. Now this is a reality, as Rockstar released Gun Rush which is a Battle Royale mode that offers games for 32 players.
The participants must gather equipment to finish with all their rivals, this while the playing area is reduced little by little. The last surviving player will win. The mode is available in Free-for-all and Team.
Rockstar thanked all the players who participated in the online component and promised that there will be more important updates soon. The company plans to “improve, stabilize and improve the overall experience,” as well as add more content.
Red Dead Online will receive in the future new game modes, outfits, weapons, emotes, as well as daily challenges that will cover every aspect of the title. Also, there will be improvements in the reward system, because now players will be rewarded for committing crimes, but there will be a time limit to play them.
The company prepares changes to the parley system, which will ensure that it is easier to activate to avoid annoying players. The visibility based on proximity will change, so now the locations will appear only in short distances. This will reduce the range in which we are visible to others.
Rockstar works to identify players who kill indiscriminately. It will mark them with a point that will become more visible at a greater distance with the passage of time. This will allow knowing the location of the problematic players.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
