Raven Software would love to make a Call of Duty in the modern era

Raven Software is currently working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, prompting many to wonder what they could do if they took the reins of the title of the series. The studio has also thought about it and said that, if given the opportunity, they would like to create a Call of Duty that is carried out in the modern era.
David Pellas, director of Raven Software, said that when asked about it by charlieINTEL in Call of Duty XP. In the interview, Pellas made it clear that Activision would love to invite them to become a leading developer of the popular franchise.
The director said that Advanced Warfare, Black Ops III and Infinite Warfare took the action of the series of the future, the studio would focus on doing something more current. This just is not intending to do something different, because modern warfare is something that excites members of the studio.
“It would be the gameplay first. Boy we sure do like the modern time period. So, you know what, we haven’t even really discussed that. But I can tell you that our team is we are all in on this game and this time period feels so good,” said Pellas.
“And I think given that we had AW (Advanced Warfare) which was slight future, Black Ops 3 which was a little bit further future, and now we have Infinite Warfare which is very far future, I think there are be a good group of people at Raven that are like ‘hey what if we were to bring this back to modern times.’ So I would say that that’s probably where we would start. We would go with what the team is excited about today and that’s definitely modern.”
Although they have never developed a major installment of the franchise, Raven Software is no stranger to Call of Duty. In addition to collaborating in Black Ops , Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops II, Ghosts, Advanced Warfare and Black Ops III, the studio was commissioned to develop Call of Duty: Online.
In related information, Modern Warfare Remastered hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as part of some of the editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare title that will debut on Nov. 4.
