The latest update of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is causing performance issues that are affecting the overall experience of the game. Bluehole has admitted the problems and indicated that they are already working on a solution.
After the last update, users have reported in some cases loss of performance and lag in their games, particularly during the last weekend.
The users are experiencing a series of falls in the frame rates per second and other cases, less common, that are affected includes game functions, which fail to respond adequately.
The first speculation is that the problems could be related to the integration of Themilda, an anti-trap system, but that usually causes a loss of performance. Although it is estimated that it usually consumes few resources, a user speculates that on this occasion it could be contributing an additional workload of 20%.
The company has not confirmed or denied the reasons why this problem has occurred, but they have recognized the problem and are saying that they are investigating it.
We are aware and will investigate soon.
