Since PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was announced for Xbox One, many have wondered that if it is possible to see on other consoles. Now, Chan Han Kim, the general director of PUBG Corporation, clarified the situation and made it clear that it is possible to reach other consoles.
In an interview with Invenglobal, Kim acknowledged that PUBG will be exclusive to Xbox One “for a while” and that now his priority is to finish this version. However, things could change in the future because, if they have the opportunity, they would like to take it to other platforms.
“It’s going to be an exclusive title on Xbox One for some time, we’d like to focus on completing the Xbox One PUBG for now. If we have the opportunity, the final goal would be to launch the title on every platform,” he said.
Later, Kim pointed out that the version of PUBG that came to Xbox One and PC was the one in development, so they had no quality restrictions. That said, things are different on PlayStation 4, since Sony is more strict in this regard.
“There were cases where a game took 6 months more to launch even when it was already completed. We are still in the stage of learning the console development environment and console gamers’ taste. We need to think about other platforms after evaluating and completing the Xbox One version first,” Kim said.
Recall that at the end of September Bluehole pointed out that its main objective is to make PUBG reach as many people as possible. It is for this reason that they are in talks with Sony to bring the Battle Royale to their platform. Shortly after the company made these intentions to the public, there were several rumors that Microsoft wanted to expand its exclusive treatment.
In other news, we think you’ll be interested to know that PUBG already has 30 million users and that its version 1.0 is already available on PC.
