In the course of the day today, Psychonauts 2 saw the publication of a new video released by Double Fine, in the course of which developers show up closely how their concept art are transformed in the title that we can play in the autumn 2018.
As many of you already know that Psychonauts 2 is finally in development. The game of Double Fine, following the historic first chapter, should see the light in 2018. In the meantime, the software company has already found a publisher in a position to finance it even further, as well as to manage the publication.
The publisher in question is Starbreeze, in a statement in which it declared its intention to support the development of Psychonauts 2, also by virtue of the masterpieces produced in the past by Double Fine and Tim Schafer.
Concretely speaking, Starbreeze will fund the game with $8 million. Following the launch of the revenues there will be music in order, first to cover these expenses. As a result 80% of the proceeds will go to Starbreeze until investment is recovered, then increase to 60%.
Nonetheless, the IP of Psychonauts remains at 100% of property of Double Fine.
By virtue of this, the work in the house of Double Fine continue to progress and recently the developers have released a video in which they show a quarry of the game engine tested. As you can see in the video at the end of this article, Zak McClendon and Tim Schafer show the work in progress and some glimpses of gameplay.
