PSN Player Gets Permanently Banned for Saying His Father Works for Sony
Most players do not read in depth the terms and conditions nor the codes of conduct that govern the online platforms of different companies like PSN. Users who do not seek problems consider that it is only not cheating or using inappropriate language in each session, however, there are some details that go unnoticed and can lead to a permanent ban, as happened to a Fortnite player.
According to a report, Fortnite player Hamad Jalalie came into conflict with a user after a session of the popular Battle Royale because the second considered that Jalalie had cheated. After exchanging some words, the player threatened Jalalie with reporting him to Epic, to which he replied by mocking and saying: “bahahahahaha my dad works at Sony he will get u banned.”
For the bad luck of Jalalie, a few days later he received an email from Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe in which he was notified of his definitive suspension of PSN for having violated the codes of conduct of the online platform.
The SIEE notification states the following:
“We are writing to inform you that your account has been permanently banned. We have made this decision based on your online activity in the message.
Pretending to be, or by association able to influence, an employee of Sony, its affiliates or 3rd party partners is against our code of conduct. You will no longer be able to access online multiplayer, PlayStation Store and other network features. Your account will not be reinvested at any point. We take the decision to ban an account very seriously, and we only do so after one of our moderators has carefully analyzed the situation. PlayStation Support, therefore, can not overturn this moderation decision.”
Therefore, we must be careful not to imply any kind of employment relationship with the company, whether or not there is, to avoid a similar sanction, leave behind all kinds of insults and enjoy the game whether we win or lose.
