PS4 was the best selling console in the US during February 2017

Again and to no one’s surprise, PlayStation 4 became the best-selling console in the United States, this time during February 2017, according to information from the NPD Group.
As the data from the NPD Group emerges, Sony succeeded in February again with the PlayStation 4 to secure the top of the US-American hardware charts. The complete report on the past month will follow next week.
After a three-month interval of the Xbox One, with whom Microsoft managed to secure the top of the US hardware charts, Sony hit back with the launch of the two new consoles of PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation 4 Pro.
Thanks to the sales report released today by the NPD Group, we know that the console managed to outperform the Xbox One. Although Sony did not make any statement this time, a company representative confirmed that PlayStation 4 was the console that stayed on the throne in sales terms.
For its part, Microsoft commented that hours of play on Xbox One were up 11% compared to February last year. While the number of unique multiplayer users saw a 35% increase worldwide. Also, Xbox marketing chief, Mike Nichols, commented that Halo Wars 2, For Honor and Grand Theft Auto IV (the latter backward compatible) were the games that helped increase the numbers of sales of Xbox One during February.
For now, we’ll have to wait a few more days for more data on hardware sales. In addition, next week we will know the best-selling game in the United States in February.
