Sony continues to support PlayStation 4, so it has just released a new system update. As on previous occasions, we remind you that it is important to download the new version, as it is essential to continue using some functions of PS4.
Version 5.55 of PlayStation 4 is now available in all regions. Before you get excited, you should know that the update does not include major changes. The update brings stability improvements to the system, so do not expect new features.
It is estimated that version 5.55 also makes some changes that improve the security of PS4. To download the update, you will need approximately 460 MB of free space on your console.
In late April, Sony released the update 5.53-01, which also included improvements to the system and possibly fixed some bugs of version 5.53, which debuted earlier that month.
It is important to know that the update 5.50 came with a large number of new features, including new options for parental control, the ability to import wallpapers from a USB memory, as well as important additions to the interface of its library of games.
And if that was not enough, this version of the console enabled supersampling mode for PlayStation 4 Pro. This means that you can take advantage of the console if you do not even have a 4K screen or monitor.
In related news, PlayStation 4 already exceeded 79 million units distributed and Sony hopes to reach the brand of 95 million consoles by 2019. The company’s online services are also on track, since PlayStation Plus has more than 34 million users.
