The next time you turn on your PS4 you will get a surprise since you will be notified that a new firmware update is ready for download. That said, the best thing is that you do not have to expect much from it.
The firmware update 5.53-01 for PS4 occupies 71 MB, considerably less than the 400 MB that usually weighs for this type of updates. An interesting detail is that it is not necessary to restart the console to install it.
According to the notes of the patch, it is a system update that “improves system performance” of the current generation console. Unfortunately, Sony has not given more details about it, so everything seems to indicate that it is an update that seeks to solve some kind of firmware error that arrived a few days ago.
We remind you that at the beginning of March, Sony launched the 5.50 update for PlayStation 4. It is an update that added features such as the option to manage the playing time of some profiles; the ability to hide games and applications from your library; better image quality on screens with 2K resolution or lower thanks to supersampling in PS4 Pro, as well as better music playback functions in the quick menu.
