During a recent livestream, Ryan Penagos (Vice President and Executive Editor of Marvel Digital Media) revealed that Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 will be released in 2017, although at this time no launch window for the game was not communicated.

Sony has announced several titles that do not yet have a release date, and between them stands out even Spider-Man, the new project of Insomniac Games.

Our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, according to the Vice President of the Marvel Digital Media, Ryan Penagos, will launch on our PlayStation 4 in the course of 2017. Announced at E3 2016, a title that now bears the simple name of Spider-Man, will be exclusive to Sony.

Ryan Penagos has no doubts about the earlier exit this year: “There’s even more on the horizon [from Marvel Games] for 2017, like Spider-Man coming to PlayStation 4 and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite coming to Xbox One, PS4, windows, PC.”

Although there are currently no official statements by Insomniac Games or from either the exclusive publisher Sony, as stated by Penagos, there seems to suggest a launch window for the highly anticipated Spider-Man, which therefore could already materialize in the course of this year.

It is not excluded that the game can go out during the summer, in conjunction with Spider-Man Homecoming, opening in theaters in early July this year. We look forward to any official announcements by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games.
