Prince of Persia Playable on Xbox One Thanks To Backward Compatibility
Microsoft is still working hard so that Xbox 360 titles can be enjoyed on Xbox One. Thanks to this, from today, the owners of the current generation console can use it to play Prince of Persia.
As usual, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, the programming director of Xbox LIVE, was responsible for sharing the news. Through a publication on Twitter, he revealed that Prince of Persia is already part of the backward compatibility program. In addition, copies of Earth Defense Force 2025 and Sine Mora for Xbox 360 can be enjoyed on Xbox One.
We remind you that the backward compatibility program works with physical and digital copies of games for Xbox 360. What is important to mention is that if you have them on disk it will be necessary to insert it into the console every time you want to play, since it is used as a method of license verification. On the other hand, physical copies can be downloaded from your Xbox One digital library.
In other news about backward compatibility, we tell you that thanks to this program you can play Splinter Cell: Blacklist; Silent Hill HD Collection; Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on Xbox One. Also, you should know that this feature has been used by the community for more than 1000 million hours.
And what about you, are you excited by the arrival of these titles to backward compatibility programs? Tell us in the comments below.
