Pokemon Sword and Shield Won’t Be Much Bigger than Previous Games, Director Confirms

Pokemon Sword and Shield promises to take us to one of the largest regions we have seen in a major Pokémon title. However, it is important that you do not misunderstand this and that you think that it will make the adventure much longer than that of previous games, since the reality is different.

In a recent talk with IGN, Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori, producer and director of Pokemon Sword and Shield, respectively, talked about the length of the new Pokémon adventure. The first thing is that they made it clear that they did not concentrate on delivering many more hours of play or making it a really great title. Instead, their focus was on replayability.

Thus, while it is difficult to compare the size that Galar will have to other Pokémon regions, creatives consider Pokemon Sword & Shield to have a lot of main story content than other titles. That said, it is possible that you stay entertained for a long time thanks to all its secondary activities and the possibilities of its postgame.

“We always try to surpass ourselves,” Masuda said, “but I think you can expect at least the amount of content that you would have seen in previous generations.”

Pokemon Sword & Shield will release on November 15 exclusively for Nintendo Switch. In recent news, the download size of the game was revealed.

And you, are you excited for Pokémon Sword and Shield? What do you think about the secondary activities they have presented so far? Tell us in the comments below.
