Pokemon Sword and Shield File Size Revealed
Here we bring you a piece of interesting news related to Pokemon Sword and Shield from Japan. This is centered on the download size of the game.
For now, it has not been specified how much free space we must have in our hybrid console or memory card to be able to download Pokemon Sword and Shield in digital format. However, thanks to the Japanese download card, which can already be found in some establishments in the country, the free space needed to download the game with the code included in that card has been revealed and to start playing it as soon as the game is released next month.
In addition, on the card, we can see some unconfirmed Pokemon so far in the game, such as Turtonator, and Zacian on the battlefield.
On this card, it is specified that the download size of Pokemon Sword and Shield is 10.3 GB. This is what the title will occupy on Nintendo Switch, at least in Japan, a size much wider than that of the previous installment of the main series, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon for 3DS with 3.6 GB, and that of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! for Switch with 4.1 GB.
It is possible that this size may vary in some megabytes compared to the western launch in the eShop. We will be attentive in case the information comes, although without a doubt this figure shared in the Japanese download cards helps us to get an idea of the actual file size of the game.
Pokemon Sword and Shield will release on November 15 for Nintendo Switch. Recently, the game’s first town video and the “Wild Area” map was leaked.
