The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon series games have reached and exceeded 300 million copies worldwide since 1996 to date. The figure covers the sales of 76 games on various platforms (Game Boy, Nintendo 64, GBA, Nintendo 2ds, 3DS, GameCube, Wii) and includes digital copies.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the two most recent episodes of the series, were released on November 17 on Nintendo 3DS, from now on receiving a great success from critics and audiences, selling 1.2 million units to Japan’s launch only.

Game Freak is now working on the next episode of the saga, coming on Nintendo Switch, according to the latest statements the project in question will bring a lot of news, probably starting from a deeply revised technical and stylistic compartment.

Developers would like to make a very ambitious game, similar to what we saw with Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Meanwhile, we remind you that for a few days Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are now available on 3DS.
