Some particularly attentive users have read the entire document relating to the new policies of Sony related to purchases made on PlayStation Store and, apparently, there are some references to changing the PlayStation Network ID.
Refunds can in fact only be requested for purchased or pre-ordered titles and for services such as PS Plus, PS Now, PS Music and Spotify Premium. In the final part of the document, it is explicitly stated that whoever pays the amount required to change their nickname on PlayStation Network will not have the opportunity to go back.
In essence, the document states that there are no refunds or cancellations for PlayStation Network ID changes: once changed, you will not be able to go back. The presence of this detail could, therefore, suggest that the much-requested functionality is in the pipeline, perhaps with the next firmware update of PlayStation 4.
We remind you that some lucky users have already had the opportunity to test a beta version of the ID change functionality in recent months and, in some cases, minor compatibility problems with old PS3 and PS4 games have been found.
