PlayStation Demos and Panels for GDC 2018 Revealed by Sony

Sony will present demos and conferences.

A few days before the Game Developers Conference 2018, Sony revealed all the details related to its presence in the developer’s event and in this edition it will offer game stations with demos of interesting PlayStation titles and a series of lectures on the improvement of the VR experience.

Recently, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that GDC 2018 attendees will be able to enjoy some titles thanks to the gaming stations with demos and members of the Third-Party Relations team will offer question and answer sessions in which they will clarify the current state of the industry in regarding the use, exploitation, publication, and distribution of licenses. The games that will be available in the GDC 2018 exhibition area will be:

1. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom
2. Monster Hunter World
3. Gran Turismo Sport
4. Shadow of the Colossus
5. Donut County
6. The Swords of Ditto
7. Guacamelee! 2
8. Moss
9. Bravo Team

On the other hand, SIE will also give lectures related to virtual reality and improving the experience on its dedicated PlayStation VR device. In this area the conference highlights “The Magic Behind ‘Joshua Bell VR’: Immersive Video with Positional Tracking”, which will address the overcoming of technical limitations that caused that virtual reality devices could offer a field of view in any direction but not subtle changes.

Also, another of the highlighted conferences will be “Player Engagement in VR Cinematics” where the Sony London Studio team will talk about the balance that must exist between the action and the cinematics in a VR environment, which ensures that the player enjoys an immersive experience of high quality.

GDC 2018 will be held from March 19 to 23 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.
