Yesterday, Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, said that the lineup of games for Project Scorpio “is shaping up very well,” although he preferred to keep the details for another day.
Spencer’s words came in response to a fan who asked on Twitter if there was a possibility that the console had a Halo title release. As usual the head of Xbox, did not give a direct answer, but said that “the portfolio [game] is shaping up very well. It’s great that teams are getting up to speed with 4K gaming now on PC to prepare for Scorpio.”
For now, we know that Project Scorpio will not have exclusive games, in the words of Aaron Greenberg, except for VR titles. Therefore, alignment to which Spencer refers surely includes only virtual reality games, however, nothing is written yet.
During E3 2016, Microsoft unveiled Project Scorpio, “the most powerful console ever made”, and will feature 6 teraflops of performance. There is still no pictures of this system and unknown how the games look on this console, but it is a fact that it will run games in 4K.
The console, according to Microsoft, is designed as a premium product of the Xbox family that will be compatible with all games and accessories that are now available for Xbox One.
In addition, Microsoft recently said they are thinking beyond the console cycles, and although the company said that the consoles will still exist, we will see Project Scorpio as the first product that will change less disruptive generation.
