Last Sunday, PewDiePie, one of the most important and controversial YouTubers in the world, was once again embroiled in a controversy after using a racially offensive term while playing in a stream. Once things calmed down a little, Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg posted a video in which he has apologized for his behavior.

In a video titled “My Response” Kjellberg admits that his comment was out of place and that he cannot keep making mistakes like that. In addition, he acknowledged that it is a language that seems immature.

“You probably will not believe this when I say this, but, whenever I go online and I hear other players use the same kind of language that I did, I always find it extremely immature and stupid,” he said.

Later, he pointed out that it was something he said by the intensity of the moment; however, he is very disappointed to have done so. He also apologized to the people who got offended or disappointed with his comment and vowed to strive not to do something like that again.

“It was something that I said in the heat of the moment. I said the worst word I could possibly think of, and it just sort of slipped out. I’m not going to make any excuses for why it did, because there are no excuses for it. I’m disappointed in myself, because it seems like I’ve learned nothing from all these past controversies. And it’s not that I think I can say or do whatever I want and get away with it. I’m just an idiot. But that doesn’t make what I said, or how I said it, OK,” he concluded.

As already mentioned, this is not the first time that PewDiePie has been involved in similar controversies, and as you can imagine, it is not the first time that PewDiePie has apologized. In the past occasions, the YouTuber found himself in trouble for making anti-Semitic jokes and declaring that he had joined ISIS.
