Overwatch Physical Copies on Nintendo Switch Won’t Include a Physical Cartridge

Bad news arrives for all those who love retail copies. During the last few hours, Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced that the new Overwatch for Nintendo Switch will not include a physical cartridge, confirming the initial fears: the game code will be redeemable on the Nintendo eShop.
Apparently, Blizzard closely follows the ideas applied by Bethesda with its Wolfenstein: Youngblood which, we remember, was sold without a cartridge. It will surely be bad news for collectors around the world!
So players will have to prepare to free up some space on the hybrid console if they want to have the game on Switch. Another news comes directly from the official cover of the game revealing that, reluctantly, the need for a subscription service to Nintendo Switch Online: in order to use the multiplayer segment of the title we will necessarily have to override a subscription to the online service at Big N.
