The TrueAchievements website has discovered the existence of Overwatch Game of the Year Edition, the page of the game in fact has appeared on Xbox LIVE servers, although it has not yet been officially published.
A little datamining on Xbox Store may have revealed the forthcoming arrival of juicy news for Overwatch, the renowned video game signed by Blizzard: According to the findings, in fact, we are going to receive a Game of the Year Edition that would be releasing on May 23, ahead of the first anniversary of the game that will instead be on May 24.
According to the source, Overwatch Game of the Year Edition will be released on May 23 in digital format, the bundle will contain the full game and 10 free loot boxes in tribute. Also in the same week should start the special event of Overwatch Anniversary, which will run until June 5.
The loot boxes of anniversary will contain more than 100 new consumable items, and will be available on June 5th. All of Overwatch’s events so far have lasted three weeks, suggesting that the anniversary event could begin as early as next week.
Obviously, if this news concerns the Xbox One, it is obvious that Blizzard can make the same edition on PS4 and probably on PC too.
For the moment, anything that is reported has not been officially confirmed, we are therefore waiting for updates from Blizzard.
