Overkill’s The Walking Dead Console Version Is Not Cancelled
Yesterday rumors spread that the company was talking about a total cancellation for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Overkill’s The Walking Dead, but this rumor has been denied by the 505 Games publisher.
The company has confirmed that the game is still under development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, although at the moment it is not possible to announce a release date, in any case, the project has not been set aside and Overkill’s The Walking Dead will also be released on consoles.
“We just wanted to clear the position on the OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead on console and confirm that the game has not been cancelled, purely postponed whilst development is on-going. We will share further news as soon as possible,” the company said on its official Twitter account that can be seen at the bottom of this news.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead was launched last November on PC, receiving a warm reception from the critics and recording sales well below expectations, so as to have forced Starbreeze Studios to enter the administration in January, just because of the commercial title that flopped.
